Graduated from the Department of Ophthalmic Optometry at the Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center, Sun Yat-sen University. With over 20 years of experience in clinical ophthalmology, he specializes in myopia prevention and control in children and adolescents, the diagnosis and treatment of strabismus and amblyopia, and the field of ophthalmic optometry. He has led multiple provincial and municipal-level research projects and published over 20 academic papers in domestic and international journals.
Areas of Expertise: Myopia prevention and control in children and adolescents; fitting of contact lenses (including orthokeratology lenses, multifocal soft lenses, RGP lenses, and scleral lenses); binocular vision training; amblyopia treatment; and strabismus correction surgery. He has particularly deep expertise in contact lens fitting and the diagnosis and treatment of complex strabismus cases.
He places great emphasis on international exchange and academic advancement, actively building bridges for the exchange of optometric diagnostic and therapeutic techniques both domestically and internationally. He proactively incorporates advanced international concepts and technologies for myopia prevention and control. He has traveled to Spain and Japan for academic exchanges and training, studying cutting-edge international optometric practices and myopia prevention strategies, and integrates these with domestic clinical practice to optimize treatment plans.

He actively participates in various high-level academic forums, including the International Myopia Conference (IMC), the COOC International Optometry Conference, the “Light of the Sea” Academic Symposium, and the PGBO Greater Bay Area Academic Conference—all premier domestic and international optometry events. There, he shares his clinical and research experience in areas such as contact lens fitting, the diagnosis and treatment of complex strabismus, intervention for pathological myopia, and the application of retrobulbar scleral reinforcement surgery, exchanging insights on cutting-edge advancements and standardized protocols in optometric diagnosis and treatment to promote the collaborative development of the regional optometry discipline.

Director Fu Chengbin has dedicated his career to the field of visual health in children and adolescents. Through a model of “precision diagnosis and treatment + full-cycle management + academic translation,” he deeply integrates cutting-edge technology with clinical practice. He specializes in the prevention and control of myopia in children and adolescents, the diagnosis and treatment of strabismus, amblyopia therapy, and the diagnosis and treatment of binocular vision disorders.

Myopia Prevention and Control in Children and Adolescents: Drawing on academic expertise and extensive experience in professional exchanges, and integrating advanced international prevention and control concepts, he specializes in designing personalized prevention and control plans. He is proficient in the precise fitting of various contact lenses and emphasizes “prevention-intervention-follow-up” full-cycle management. He is skilled in performing scleral reinforcement surgery to effectively intervene in pathological myopia and prevent retinal complications, while simultaneously conducting public health education to help families establish a scientific myopia prevention and control system.
Strabismus Diagnosis and Treatment: Adhering to the philosophy of “precise diagnosis + personalized treatment + integrated postoperative rehabilitation,” we specialize in the management of complex strabismus cases. Through meticulous examinations, we establish accurate diagnoses, optimize surgical plans, and precisely adjust extraocular muscles. Postoperatively, we design personalized visual function training programs to address complex strabismus cases with precision and efficiency.
Amblyopia Treatment: Moving beyond traditional, single-modality occlusion therapy, we integrate cutting-edge optometric technologies to develop comprehensive treatment plans for amblyopia patients of all ages and types. We dynamically adjust treatment strategies in real time to avoid excessive or ineffective interventions, focusing on activating visual development potential. We are equally equipped to address complex cases, including refractory amblyopia and amblyopia in older patients.
Diagnosis and Treatment of Binocular Visual Function Disorders: We develop personalized training programs based on patients’ visual usage scenarios and ocular conditions, precisely identifying various visual function abnormalities. Through scientific training, we improve binocular coordination and alleviate eye strain. By integrating myopia prevention and control, amblyopia training, and post-surgical strabismus rehabilitation, we create a closed-loop system of “diagnosis-treatment-training-protection,” providing comprehensive visual care.
